Myitkyinna, the capital of the Kachin State, situated in the northern part of Myanmar, is worth a visit not only for its scenic confluence of the Maikha and Malikha rivers, thus forming the famous Ayeyarwaddy River, but also for the life style of the different ethnic groups, approximately about 14 groups, those can be seen with their traditional colourful costumes in the nearby villages.
